We are a maritime company located in Piraeus, Greece and Chios island. We operate in 8 countries worldwide (Sri Lanka, Ukraine, Croatia, Roumania, Honduras, Egypt, Greece & Cyprus) offering crewing, port agency and seafarers' procedure services. Our team consists of highly qualified and experienced marine and business professionals, with extensive knowledge of the whole maritime cluster, counting more than 30 years of experience. At the moment we are a family business, envisioning to grow both in numbers and in value that we offer to the Greek and the global shipping industry.
What we are looking for
An ambitious, passionate, communicative and solution oriented Crewing assistant to help us coordinate and expand our crewing and seafarer procedure services. The role is suited, but not limited, to someone with some experience in Crewing. However, the most important factors we seek are extra passion to join a fast paced and dynamic team and willingness to learn actively within an exciting area of the maritime industry. The Crewing Assistant reports to the Crewing Manager and is the first line of support assisting her as well as the Business Development manager in the fulfillment of their responsibilities.
Your main responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the following:
Manage the Crew certificates and Flag Endorsements
Conduct the crew operation, selection of qualified and certificated officers and ratings
Collaborate with maritime companies for crew issues
Process and categorize all invoices received
Monitoring and reporting crewing KPIs on monthly and quarterly basis
Carry out general administration duties when required, these include picking up mail; covering incoming telephone calls; attending to visitors; arranging meeting rooms.
You may get involved in port agency services when needed
Your qualifications & behaviors
In order to keep up and grow in this role we are looking for a candidate who meets the following:
BSc in maritime from a recognised institute.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent english speaking and writing level
Be familiar with Microsoft OS (outlook, word, excel, power point) and G Suite (docs, sheets, slides)
Solutions orientation
Flexibility and fast learning capacity
Ability to deliver high quality outputs in an exciting and dynamic environment with an ability to work against deadlines
Curious – you do not take anything for granted, never assume anything, you like to ask
Fun – you need to be fun. Period.
